Heather Callihan, LPC-S
Licensed Professional Counselor - Supervisor
I’ve always believed that life is best lived with an open heart and a "how can I help?" spirit. My roots run deep in the soil of a large family, and that’s where I first learned that life is a beautiful, messy team sport. Now that I’m raising my own family, I’m reminded daily that while the days are long, the years are incredibly short—and the connections we build within those years are what truly matter.
Being the oldest child was my first real masterclass in leadership and responsibility. I grew up navigating the "big sibling" pressure of being the peacekeeper and the one who had to have it all figured out. Because of that, I deeply understand the demands placed on those who carry the weight of expectations, whether from family, work, or themselves. I know what it’s like to feel like you have to be the glue holding everything together, and I know how exhausting that role can be when you don't have a soft place to land.
My path eventually led me to serve as a Teacher and School Counselor, where I spent years in the heart of our community. In those hallways, I saw firsthand the struggles families face—the quiet anxieties of parents and the complex social hurdles children navigate. It taught me that behind every "difficult" interaction is usually a person just looking to be heard.
Faith is a key component of my life and my work; it’s the compass that keeps me grounded and the lens through which I see the inherent worth in every individual. I understand that life doesn't always go according to plan, and sometimes we need a little grace—and a practical plan—to get back on track. I’m here to offer both, helping you navigate your relationships with a perspective that is as down-to-earth as it is hopeful.
I am currently available for therapy sessions for individuals living in both Texas and Florida. I know that reaching out for help is a personal decision and can sometimes feel a bit daunting, but I’d love to hear your story and see if we’re a good fit to work together. Feel free to send me an email or give me a call—I’m looking forward to connecting with you.
